This Privacy Policy explains how Colory (“the App”, “we”, “us”), published by ZackysStudio, handles information when you use the App. The App is a color-by-numbers pixel-art coloring game for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).

By using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Summary

We do not ask you for your name, email, phone number, or address, and the App has no accounts of its own.
Most of your data — your coloring progress, settings, and any pictures you create from your own photos — stays on your device.
The App downloads its pictures from a server operated by us, delivered through Cloudflare. We do not store your IP address in our server logs.
We use trusted third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Firebase Analytics, Google Play Games, and RevenueCat via Google Play Billing) that process limited technical and usage data as described below.
If you sign in to Google Play Games, your coloring progress can be backed up to your own Google Drive so it syncs between your devices. This is optional.
Photos you pick or take to create your own coloring pages are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
Data exchanged between the App and these services is protected in transit using encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

2. Information we and our providers process

2.1 Information stored only on your device

The following never leaves your device except through the optional cloud sync described in Section 2.3:

Coloring progress — which pictures you have started or finished and how far.
App settings — theme, language, library filter, vibration and other preferences.
In-app items — your counts of magic wands and color bombs.
Your own coloring pages — pictures you create from your camera or gallery, stored locally on your device.
Downloaded pictures and a copy of the catalog — kept on your device so the App also works without an internet connection.

2.2 Content delivery (our server and Cloudflare)

The App downloads its picture catalog and image files from a server operated by us (colory-api.zackysstudio.com). The connection is delivered through Cloudflare, which provides secure delivery (HTTPS) and protection against abuse and may process technical data needed to serve the request, such as your IP address. The App sends an access key that is the same for all users and does not identify you. We do not create accounts or user identifiers for this purpose. Our own server logs contain only the requested path, the response status and the response time — not IP addresses or device information. We do not upload your personal data, progress or photos to our server.

Earlier versions of the App used Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Storage) for the same purpose; the current version does not.

2.3 Cloud sync of progress (Google Play Games — Saved Games)

If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, the App can back up and sync your coloring progress across your devices using the Play Games “Saved Games” (Snapshots) feature.

The progress data is stored in the application data folder of your own Google Drive.
When signed in, we process your Play Games player ID and display name to show who is signed in and to keep the sync tied to the correct account.
You control this: you can turn syncing off, sync on demand, switch accounts, or clear all progress from within the App’s Settings. Sign-in is managed by the Google Play Games app.

2.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads (you choose to watch rewarded ads to earn in-app items). Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may process your advertising identifier, device information, and general (coarse) location, and may show personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent. Where required (for example in the EEA and the UK) we ask for your consent using Google’s consent form, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. AdMob acts as an independent third party. See Google’s policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Subscribers to Premium do not see ads.

2.5 Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

The App includes Firebase Analytics, which collects aggregated usage and device information — such as app opens, in-app events, device model, OS version, and an app-instance identifier — to help us understand how the App is used and improve it. 2.6 Subscriptions and purchases (RevenueCat & Google Play Billing)

If you buy a Premium subscription, the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to validate and manage subscription status. RevenueCat processes a purchase token and an anonymous app-user identifier to confirm whether your subscription is active. We never receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled by Google Play. See: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

2.7 Camera and photos

If you create your own coloring page, the App accesses a photo you take or select. The photo is processed entirely on your device to turn it into a color-by-number picture and is stored locally. It is not sent to us or any third party.

2.8 Saving to your gallery

When you save a finished coloring, the App writes the image to your device’s gallery (Pictures/Colory). On Android 9 and older this uses the storage permission described in Section 4; on newer versions no permission is required.

3. How we use information

We (and our providers, for their own described purposes) use the information to:

deliver the picture catalog and images;
keep your progress and, if you opt in, sync it across your devices;
show ads and grant in-app rewards;
process and validate subscriptions;
protect our server from abuse;
understand usage and fix problems, through aggregated analytics.

Where required by law (for example in the EEA and the UK), advertising and analytics rely on your consent, which you give or withdraw through Google’s consent form.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Permissions the App requests

Internet and network state — to download pictures and to show whether you are online.
Vibration — for haptic feedback while coloring (optional, controlled in Settings).
Storage (write, Android 9 and older only) — to save finished colorings to your gallery.
Advertising ID — requested by the advertising libraries so AdMob can show ads (you can reset or delete it in your device settings).
Billing — to offer the Premium subscription through Google Play.
Technical permissions (such as keeping the device awake briefly or running short background tasks) that the advertising and analytics libraries need to work reliably.

The App uses the standard system photo picker / camera flow and does not request a dedicated camera permission.

We share data only with the providers named above, and only as needed to provide the App’s features:

Google Firebase (Analytics), Google Play Games, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat and Cloudflare act as our service providers, processing data on our behalf to deliver content, cloud sync, analytics, subscriptions and secure delivery.
Google AdMob acts as an independent advertising partner. To show ads, your advertising identifier and approximate (coarse) location are shared with AdMob, which uses them for its own advertising purposes under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention and deletion

On-device data (progress, settings, custom pictures) remains until you clear it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the App. You can reset all coloring progress in Settings.
Cloud-synced progress stays in your Google Drive app-data folder until you clear it (Settings → “Clear all progress” with sync enabled) or remove it via your Google account.
Our server does not store personal data about you, so there is nothing to delete there.
Provider data is retained according to each provider’s own policy (linked above).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at zackysstudio@gmail.com. You can also manage ad personalization in your device settings and manage Play Games / Google Drive data in your Google account.

8. International transfers

Our providers, including Cloudflare, Google and RevenueCat, may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under the providers’ own frameworks.

9. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at zackysstudio@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
